A typical working day of a biomedical scientist involves performing routine and analytical lab testing on various biological samples. They are to make sure that the samples are handled carefully and are not tampered with to avoid inaccurate test results. If they are based in healthcare, biomedical scientists are tasked with sending test results to medical staff. Some biomedical scientists are in charge of running a laboratory and maintaining lab equipment. They have to make sure that the laboratory observes relevant health and safety regulations. Also, they need to coordinate with clients regarding test results and general laboratory issues.
